Conjuncțiile coordonatoare în engleză sunt cuvinte care conectează cuvinte, fraze sau propoziții care au o importanță egală într-o propoziție.
Conjuncții Coordonatoare Principale
Engleza are trei conjuncții coordonatoare principale:
And (Și)
Or (Sau)
But (Dar)
And
„And“ este folosit pentru a adăuga un cuvânt la alt cuvânt. De exemplu:
She is beautiful. She is kind. = She is beautiful and kind.
Ea este frumoasă. Ea este drăguță. = Ea este frumoasă și drăguță.
I called Hanna. I called Tommy = I called Hanna and Tommy.
Am sunat-o pe Hanna. Am sunat-o pe Tommy. = Am sunat-o pe Hanna și pe Tommy.
Or
„Or“ este folosit pentru a numi două sau mai multe opțiuni. De exemplu:
Are you sad? Are you angry? = Are you sad or angry?

Do you like pizza? Do you like pasta? = Do you like pizza or pasta?

But
„But“ este folosit pentru a arăta un contrast între două cuvinte sau propoziții. De exemplu:
She is beautiful but cruel.
Ea este frumoasă, dar crudă.
I love fruits but I’m allergic to strawberries.
