'Be' 동사란?
'Be' 동사는 시제와 주어에 따라 다양한 형태를 취하는 동사입니다.
'Be' 동사의 다양한 형태
현재 시제에서는 주어에 따라 세 가지 형태로 변화합니다:

'Be' 동사를 사용한 질문
'To be' 동사로 질문을 만들 때는 주어와 동사의 위치를 바꾸면 됩니다:
He is an actor. → Is he an actor?
그는 배우입니다. → 그는 배우인가요?
They are angry. → Are they angry?
그들은 화가 났다. → 그들은 화가 났나요?
We were home last night → Were you home last night?
우리는 어젯밤에 집에 있었어요 → 당신은 어젯밤에 집에 있었어요?
부정문
'Be' 동사로 부정문을 만들 때는 'not'을 동사 뒤에 추가합니다:
I am studying → I am not studying.
공부해요 → 공부하지 않아요.
She is busy. → She is not busy./She isn't busy.
그녀는 바쁘다. → 그녀는 바쁘지 않다.
He was happy to see us. → He was not happy to see us./He wasn’t happy to see us.
그는 우리를 보고 기뻤다. → 그는 우리를 보고 기뻤지 않았다.
You were a student. → You were not a student./You weren’t a student.
당신은 학생이었습니다. → 당신은 학생이 아니었습니다.
