Ex: Environmental conservation efforts aim to protect ecosystems and reduce human impact on the planet .

consisting of poisonous substances

Ex: Some species of plants and animals produce toxic substances as a defense mechanism against predators .

to damage the environment by releasing harmful chemicals or substances to the air, water, or land

Ex: Pesticides used in agriculture can pollute soil and groundwater if not applied responsibly .
renewable [adjective]

(of a resource, energy, etc.) naturally restored as fast as or faster than they are used up
